THE WAR COMES HOME

The American Civil War Center

The War Comes Home, a multi-screen theater, focuses on the remarkable confluence of events in June and July of 1863 that became arguably the most intense 60 days of the Civil War.

Visitors are seated around a large horizontal projection surface that interprets the events through maps, graphics and archival photographs. Smaller monitors, placed directly in front of each visitor, focus on the personal stories of these events.
